Hello again, friends! I am so beyond excited to share this beautiful collection and special announcement with you all. First of all, one of my dearest friends is getting married in just two short weeks! I am so terribly sad to miss her wedding – especially because we are wedding soul sisters (haha). Let me start from the beginning… You know when you meet someone and instantly you just vibe together? That’s Hannah. This girl is hilarious, up beat, and is going to make an unbelievably gorgeous bride!
After planning a wedding myself and now it is almost a year later (dang, that flew by fast!) I love SO much to chat with brides about their venue, centerpieces, make up, but so much more than that – their anxieties, how they are feeling emotionally, and I feel this need to stop them in their tracks and remind them to soak up every single moment. Your eye liner might not be exactly even, the weather may not end up how you imagined (Joe Joe : ) and things may not fall together exactly how you pictured. But guess what? None of that even matters. You are choosing that one person in the entire world to spend your life with – and it’s all about you two. And that is exactly Hannah’s focus. She knows who she is and what she wants, and I love that about her.
Alright, enough with the mooshy gooshy stuff – let me tell you a little bit about Hannah and Rob’s wedding. When I say that we are wedding soul sisters, it’s because we both love a lot of the same things… like deep maroons, classy touches, greenery, and timeless details. Hannah and Rob are getting married outside and then celebrating at a beautiful industrial-chic venue. The exposed brick, candle light, and exquisite details are going to make this wedding one that you will never forget. Can you tell how sad I am to miss it? However, one small piece of me and our wedding will be there – which makes me very happy and gives me warm fuzzies. They are beautiful, gold, and elegant. I guess you will have to wait and see what it is!
Now for the big announcement! I am so excited to finally share this with you all. From here on out, any of your floral needs during my sessions will be fulfilled by my sister, Angelica, owner of Peace & Petal. Angelica has been a floral designer for several years and is an incredible visionary and creator. We have been wanting to bring our businesses together for quite a while and we are so happy to be finally doing it. During Hannah and Rob’s engagement session, she designed a gorgeous bouquet and fern crown for the bride to be. Hannah’s bouquet includes dendrobium orchids, tiffany peach roses, and foraged greenery. Angelica tied it all together with a stunning dusty rose mesh ribbon.
Flowers bring such a beautiful dimension to photos and I am honored to supply only the best for my clients. Whether you want a simple flower crown for your maternity session, a bouquet for anniversary photos, or scattered greenery around your newborn baby – let us know and Angelica will create something that is uniquely made for you! You will now see an additional text box on my contact form asking if you are interested in having florals incorporated in your photo session. Please indicate here if you are at all interested. Angelica will then consult with you regarding what type of floral addition you will like in your session. Leave the design up to her – she is amazing at what she does!
Angelica took the lead on designing the florals for my bridal shower and wedding and she did an outstanding job. She hosted my shower at her home with the most unbelievable details – I was brought to tears the moment I walked in. The centerpieces were an array of pinks, maroons, whites, and greenery – to match our wedding palette. As for the favors, each guest brought home an air plant that was set on their plate. Angelica also made us flower crowns made from vine with some of my favorite flowers and ivory ribbon. It was absolutely beautiful and everything I have ever wanted. Today my crown hangs on display in my room and takes me back to that unforgettable day every time I see it.
We are both thrilled and SO excited to work with you all. It is a privilege to do what you love – especially with people that you love! Angelica and I both strive to deliver nothing but the best and we cannot wait to create something beautiful for you.
